Whatever. I'm over it.

* Been trying to get screencaps uploaded ALL WEEK for tm_challenge. Photobucket hates me and I hate it. Whatever.

* Spent most of Thursday sick in bed.

* Spent most of yesterday still sick, and still fighting with Photobucket. You might have witnessed some of the WTF? yesterday when the new prompt went up. Still can't get the last of the photos to upload. Might need to reset the computer. We must have pictures of Jebgerbread, just in case!!

* This morning - in the wee hours of last night - I decided that the stress of stressing over NaNo wasn't worth it. There is no way I'll finish and, really, I just don't care. Last year I had the time and inclination and the non!NaNo group and this year- This year, I have Walter attached to my hip.

* I failed at avoiding Farmville and CafeWorld. And Luxor and Spider Solitare.

* I need to work on my Secret Santa!Flashpoint fic for flashpoint_sru.

* Possibly going to see Boondock Saints 2 tonight. Not sure yet.

* Temperature dropped like a rock - it was 40 when the brother got home from work last night.

* I could seriously go back to bed. Really - I think my system has decided to just go "Hey! FU" o.O

AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS 2009



This is one of the most important events in the musical calendar - in the U.S. at least, and so I duly went off to the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles for quick look-see...

I have to say though, that for an event as big as this, I would have thought that the Nokia Theatre could have at least created a backdrop for celebrity press photos that didn't allow all and sundry to wander around behind whoever was being photographed - there were so many pictures that had various random people walking through the press area, that resulted in bits of arms and legs, and sometimes whole people, which were definitely surplus to requirements - and they all seemed totally oblivious of the fact that there was a celebrity being photographed by the press directly in front of where they were walking...it was sometimes very difficult to find the picture that I wanted without any distracting extras...

Grrr !!

OK, so just a week ago I went on eBay and was absent-mindedly searching through Michael McIntyre related items. Michael McIntyre is a very popular British comedian, by the way. Anyway, I saw there were some last minute tickets being sold for the Manchester part of his tour, but most of them were two tickets, or a single ticket pushing £60. When the ticket cost £35 to begin with, you could see how I'm not overly willing to pay that.

To cut a long story short; I came across one ticket, didn't really pay much attention to where the seat was, but it was flipping £20, so I instantly bid on it. And won.

The show was tonight, in a huge (for England) arena, that seats about 20,000 I think? So I went in, slightly freaked at the size of the place, and got someone to show me to my seat.

Out of 20,000 seats?

I was in the third row.

Like, literally, when Michael McIntyre came on, he was conversing with people around me, and he looked at me several times. If he had spots, I could have pointed them out. THAT'S HOW CLOSE I WAS. AND IT WAS A LAST MINUTE TICKET.

Not that interesting to anyone else, I know, but what an awesome night. He is the funniest man, everyone was pretty much dying.
